Agra – Spring 2015 Vacation

The train started at 5:30 pm and reached the station named Agra Cante . After coming out of the station, we took a cab and went to the hotel. It was morning at that time and so we decided to visit all the Mughal Places. When we went to Agra Fort we were amazed at its large size and extent. The main door had to be pulled with a rope attached to a pulley to close it. Then we went to see one of the seven wonders of the world that is the Taj Mahal. We went inside it and found the burial of Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It’s wall were decorated with precious and semi-precious stones and lace like screens. Behind the monument the River Yamuna was flowing. There were many other palaces at the entrance of the campus of the Taj Mahal. They were the palaces of the King’s friends. Then we took photos with the help of illusions like holding the Taj Mahal in hand at its top. Here is a picture of it. Then we went outside and went to the palace where Begum Mumtaz Mahal was brought up. This palace was known as the “Mini Taj Mahal ” and when we went inside the campus we found it to be more beautiful than the Taj Mahal. It was surrounded by four quarters which were of the workers. Then we went inside the palace and entered into a hall then through a veranda we saw the view outside. Then we strolled for a while and went outside. Then we saw Itmad-ud-Daula’s tomb, the city of Fatehpur Sikri, Buland Darwaza, a garden from where the Taj Mahal could be seen. Then we saw the Jama Masjid and Akbar’s tomb. Then we went to the station and we’re soon found eating grams and in a minute our train came but we did recognise it. So we all did not worry a lot about it. Though me and my brother saw in the display and found the name of our train still none believed us. Then when the train left the station it came into our notice. So we had no other option but to go to Jaipur  (our next destination ) on road.
